Hi Sandy,
I was watching some old English stuff today and thinking about my mother who died last year and then I started remembering when we were still at the AQ and your Mom got so sick and died....I Gooogled you and here you are! I am so happy that you are still doing what you love most in the world.
Love,
Annie

Sandy,
I am married to your first cousin Allen.
We celebrated Allen's 65th birthday last weekend and your brother Chris joined us. We see Chris periodically but not so much since we've moved from Houston. We now live in San Antonio, TX.
I have the fondest memories of your parents. I remember so many, many happy weekend in Pound Ridge when Allen and were living in Newport, RI
So good reading about your life after all these years.

I've just been sitting around waiting for something to happen. My life's been generally boring today. I like this only.

Hi, Sandy - my son found your website looking for music to download to a new MP3 - what a delight to know you're still at it (a miracle that any of us survived those Lake Placid days!), and a real treat to be listening to the Free Beer album again
I'm living across the CT river from White River Jct, VT - some good places to play nearby if you're looking to expand your horizons to the boonies - or take a working vacation - would be fun to see you - Sandy, too. Would also like to hear about Bobby Potter. Any news of him?

Hi Sandy, so glad you contacted me via my twin sister Perry. She has been a baseball umpire for 28 years, and I am a registered nurse here in Vancouver WA, my home for the past 17 years. How time flies! My baby boy just turned 18, and will (hopefully) be a high school graduate in June. Please call or email, let's chat!
Love Warren

Leo is obviously confusing the ol' Sandman with someone else...perhaps that other Sandy Allen "...world's tallest woman".?

I have seen many times and you are a very gracious lady.I enjoy watching you and never get mad no matter how many times you are asked the same questions. One comment I will always remember was when this reporter asked you about sex and your reply was that he knew your hotel and should come up and find out. Everybody should approach life the same way you do.
No gripes just a smile on your face

My dearest brother, ah,I remember the times around the campfire in Marthas Vineyard, singing Band songs and drinking cheap red wine!

What a gift! To wake up after a hard day traveling and find your long lost face and music in my in-box. You are the sound track of my youthful enlightenment and a rememberance of my wedding which you blessed with song. (you did a good job...still married after 27+ years).... a vivid memory of riding a NYC bus and seeing you driving your horse and carriage...thinking I was having an acid flash...trying like a crazy man to get the bus driver to stop... and then your reaction when I caught up with you.... like meeting in this way was the most common kind of thing in a most uncommon world. My heart is full.

Nice job on the site, Sandy. Thanks for the kind words. You are far too modest about your talent and achievements. It is all our privilege to be working with you. P.S. For legal and tax clarification, the OBGYN/contortionist thing is just a hobby.

Congrats on getting the site up Sandy. I know I have told you before, and I hope you don't ever get sick of hearing it, but I am delighted and honored to be playing with you. I am always amazed by what comes out of your instrument, whether it be the mandolin, slide, pedal steel, flute, kazoo, or whatever your playing. Love the MP3 and am looking forward to hearing the rest of the disc. Keep on doin' what your doin'. I am sure we will all be amazed at the 'Gods anniversary show.
Peace,
T$

Sandman-
Looks great... congrats! Also, the Christmas CD you produced kicks serious butt... your steel/mandolin/guitar playing/harmonizing/production, etc. etc. are tasty, interesting and just spot on (as usual). Plus, Gabe likes it (!) It's the best kudos of all when kids (all instinct, no pretense) like your music, because the only judgement they have is whether it makes them smile and jump around the room (which is how all music should be judged, no?)
Best... keep smiling.
